Let The Sun Shine In Layout + Process Video

Hello, friends! I’m excited to be back home creating after a long, relaxing holiday weekend, and today I have a colorful page to share with you that combines two of my favorite new collections from American Crafts—Vicki Boutin's Color Kaleidoscope and the Sparkle City collection—all inspired by my daughter’s umbrella.

Supplies | Color Kaleidoscope collection: Kaleidoscope paper, Beyond Words paper, Paper Hearts paper, Flight of Fancy paper, ephemera die cuts, sticker book, puffy sticker phrases, small puffy sticker sheet; Sparkle City collection: 6" x 8" paper pad, cardstock stickers, sticker book, chipboard stickers, glitter enamel dots

The background Kaleidoscope paper provided the perfect place to color-block embellishments and other fussy-cut papers around its colorful rays, which helped me to tell the story of a grumpy girl whose mood was brightened by her colorful new umbrella.

The Sparkle City collection’s 6" x 8" paper pad provided the perfect title for this page, “Let the Sun Shine In,” which I added to the center of the Color Kaleidoscope ephemera die cut frame.

I loved joining the colorful elements from these beautiful collections to get this story in my album. Watch my process video below to see how I pulled it all together:
