Elle's Studio December 2020 Kit Reveal!

Hello, friends, and happy December! I can’t believe we are already in the final month of the year! Christmas has come a bit early, because today I have the brand new December 2020 kit and add-ons from Elle’s Studio to share with you! First up, let’s take a look at all of the new goodies in my December 2020 unboxing video:

How wonderful are these new products? First up, the December kit contains so many different color options. With its festive tags and winter themes, it’s one that will have you documenting into the new year!

Elles-Studio-December-2020-Kit-FULL.jpg

But don’t forget about the add-ons. There are a few that have me seeing stars, like the Stitched Star wood veneers, My Star stamp and My Star metal die that I know will be popular, so if you love them too, don’t delay in grabbing them from the shop!

This month, I decided to focus on the “2020 favorites” and “pause and reflect 2020” tags to record the memorable moments of our year in a 12” x 12” pocket page. I just love the blue, yellow, black and gray colour scheme that I pulled out of the kit contents.

You can see this page come together, and how I created two shaker pockets for it in my process video:

I hope you love these new Elle’s Studio December 2020 goodies as much as I do! Be sure to shop the products that I used to create my pocket page at the gallery below, and get your 2020 wrapped up in a beautiful way in your album! Thanks so much for stopping by and happy creating, friends!

Easter Memories in Pockets with Elle's Studio

Hello friends! One of the many “unknowns” about the times we are living in right now is how we will be celebrating Easter this year. Although our president wants packed churches on Easter morning, our family will be keeping ourselves safe, and most likely staying home. Easter is one of my favorite holidays, and this makes me extremely sad. This had me thinking about some of our past Easter celebrations, and the one at the top of my list took place right here in our home and neighborhood last year when we invited my daughter’s two besties over for an Easter play date! To brighten my week a bit, I decided to record this fun day in a Project Life Design J pocket page spread using the Elle’s Studio March kit and extras*.

Elles-Studio-March-2020-Easter-Memories-Pocket-Page-01a.jpg

This page started with my photos and my title, “Sharing Easter Memories Together,” using my new Title Builder Vol. 4 stamp set and black typewriter cardstock alphabet stickers, and I stamped it LIVE on a Facebook video over on the Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine feed this week, in addition to a title for a scrapbook layout, and a greeting card! I hope you’ll check it out!

Elles-Studio-March-2020-Easter-Memories-Pocket-Page-02.jpg

Once my title was complete, it was all about balancing the beautiful colors from the March kit and add-ons across the page! I focused on the colors in my title card: orchid, yellow, blue and teal; with neutrals of woodgrain and black.

Elles-Studio-March-2020-Easter-Memories-Pocket-Page-04.jpg

I wanted to mimic the typewriter font found on the new black typewriter cardstock alphabet, but I needed a smaller size to fill out this journaling tag. The Hazel alphabet stamp came to my rescue to highlight the most important parts of the day: finding eggs, opening eggs and eating the candy inside! I used the new Word Circle stamp to add the heart bullet points for each item.

Elles-Studio-March-2020-Easter-Memories-Pocket-Page-03.jpg

On the back of the page, I wanted to mimic that big, colorful pocket on the front with a 4” x 4” filler pocket. I created it with pretty teal paper and topped it with a journaling tag and label, which I stamped using the Title Builder and Title Builder Vol. 4 stamps! I also added “moments” below using the Title Builder Vol. 4 puffy stickers. To the left of my phrase, I added the cute acrylic Easter egg with the Easter wood veneer bunny ears on top! To the right on my photo, I added a “3” Go See Do acetate die cut. I love adding these to photos for a bit of extra, but low-key embellishment!

Elles-Studio-March-2020-Easter-Memories-Pocket-Page-05.jpg

This sweet pocket started with the “flowers, raindrops, sunshine…” tag from the March 2020 kit, but I had to dress it up a bit using my Title Builder Vol. 4 stamp illustrations and that cute little wood veneer bunny from the Easter wood veneers!

Elles-Studio-March-2020-Easter-Memories-Pocket-Page-06.jpg

This page recorded such a fun and happy day, and documenting it was definitely something I needed right now! Even though our Easter plans may be up in the air, I know that I can re-create this fun-filled day with our little family, and still make it special. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Elle's Studio November Kit + Add On Reveal

Hello, friends! I am so excited to share the November 2019 kit and add-ons* from Elle’s Studio with you today, as well as a two new projects I created using the beautiful new products! First, let’s take a look at the kit, which I’m sharing with you in an unboxing video:

The November kit includes the perfect mix of autumn and Christmas iconography and sayings, with a rich color scheme and beautiful illustrations! I just love each and every tag and die-cut included!

EllesStudio_November2019_Kit_1500px.jpg

The carefully coordinated add-ons will have you easily putting together your favorite holiday-themed projects, and as a bonus, the Christmas-themed products, like the new ‘Tis the Season paper stack and Christmas die cut labels also coordinate perfectly with the Document December 2019 products, boosting your supplies for your favorite memory-keeping project!

EllesStudio_November2019_Add-Ons.jpg

I am so excited about all of these new goodies! Let’s take a look at the first project that I created using them: a Gratitude mini album, which was inspired by the new Grateful journaling tags.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SoVeryGratefulMini_01.jpg

Because I have another daily memory-keeping project just around the corner, I decided to keep this gratitude mini super simple, backing the Grateful journaling tags onto patterned paper from the Home Sweet Home paper stack and keeping my embellishment simple by using stickers, wood veneer and stamped sentiments.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SoVeryGratefulMini_03.jpg

In this daily mini album, I am recording both the big things, like my friends and family, as well as the small things that I am grateful for, like a new pair of running shoes. I hope you’ll watch as my album progresses through the month of November by following along in my Instagram feed, and be sure to check out the Grateful journaling tags to help you record what you are most grateful for in life!

My next project is a bit more complicated, but was OH so fun to create! I recorded my family’s mini Thanksgiving last year, by pulling out all of the autumn-themed tags, die cuts and embellishments from the November 2019 kit and add-ons.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_MiniThanksgiving_01_edited-1.jpg

The rich colors included in the November kit and fun embellishments (does it get any better than that pumpkin pie slice from the Holiday puffy stickers?!) made this spread so fun to create, and you can watch how it all came together in my process video:

I hope you loved this project as much as I did, and it inspires you to record your favorite holiday memories using the November 2019 kit and add-ons! Be sure to grab the products that you love the most from my spread at the links below while supplies last, and while you’re in the shop, look into becoming a kit subscriber! Autumn Memories in Pockets

Hello there! The Elle’s Studio October 2019 kit and add-ons revealed earlier this month, and in addition to a spooktacular layout that I created, I also made an autumnal pocket page spread to record a beautiful and fun girl’s weekend among friends. Take a look!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_GirlsWeekend_01.jpg

How perfect are these photos with this kit, right? I could not be happier with the way the spread turned out. Here’s a look at the closer details:

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_GirlsWeekend_05.jpg

I created my title tag in a clever way with three different layers. First, I started with the Home Sweet Home paper stack yellow pattern, cut to 4” x 6” to form the base of the pocket card. Next, I layered the leaf and acorn journaling tag from the October 2019 kit on top, to hold the story of the weekend. At the base of that, I added a jewel-toned die-cut label that I added my journaling to using the Jane alphabet stickers in navy and my favorite typewriter alphabet stamp, Hazel. I finished off the pocket by adding a cute acorn from the wood veneer leaves set, as well as leaves and hearts from the autumn puffy stickers.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_GirlsWeekend_06.jpg

Next to my title tag, I added one of my favorite tags from the October 2019 kit, the “gather” circle tag. I used this tag to add my date, using the Mini Dated stamp, as well as the dots below from the new, versatile Everyday Tabs stamp.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_GirlsWeekend_07.jpg

I love it when product matches my photos perfectly! The “autumn tradition” die cut from the October 2019 kit and the “at the pumpkin patch” autumn puffy sticker layered on top of the jewel-toned die-cut label on the negative space in my photo to point toward my daughter picking her pumpkin in this photo. I love these small details added to photos!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_GirlsWeekend_10.jpg

On the second page, this is my favorite pocket! I started with the striped, colorful pattern from the Home Sweet Home paper stack, layering the “thankful” tag from the October 2019 kit on top using dimensional adhesive, which I cut to appear longer, and topped with my favorite square photo of my friends and I. I added the “good company” autumn puffy sticker—again, the perfect sentiment for this photo!—to the base. It’s a simple, but clever way to build this pocket.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_GirlsWeekend_12.jpg

I love the sentiments of gratitude found in the October 2019 kit and add-ons, and sometimes a favorite photo just needs a reminder of gratitude added to it. The negative space in the blue sky was the perfect place to add the “grateful for this” autumn puffy sticker to one of my favorite photos in this spread.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_GirlsWeekend_11.jpg

I typically add more journaling on the B side of the spread, and this 4” x 6” tag from the October 2019 kit worked perfectly. To the left of the journaling, I added a photo of my friend and goddaughter using dimensional adhesive, and topped it with the blue “smile” die cut from the kit. Tucked underneath the photo, I added wood veneer leaves set and autumn puffy sticker leaves and a row of navy blue hearts. I just love this pocket!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_October_IG.jpg

Thanks so much for stopping by today to check out my latest pocket page! Don’t forget to grab the Elle’s Studio October 2019 kit and add-ons today while supplies last to record your most beautiful autumn memories, and you can find everything I used to create this pocket page spread in the gallery below. This month, my favorite project created was a pocket page spread about a trip to Chicago that I took last fall, and I just had to work with the beautiful coral, teal and black color scheme that I built from the kit and add-ons:

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_ChiTown_01.jpg

I can’t believe that I used my favorite tag from this kit, and didn’t hoard it forever! This patterned circle tag was the perfect one to add my title to, using the Large Jane alphabet stamps!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_ChiTown_04.jpg

I used the Home Sweet Home printables to create this custom 4” x 4” heart tag, which I added the beautiful Happy Moments puffy sticker to. I love the mix of product, along with a bit of journaling in this pocket!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_ChiTown_05.jpg

This is proof that the Home Wood Veneers don't have to be about your home! I used the “this is my happy place” one here to document my runs along Lake Michigan.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_ChiTown_06.jpg

I also loved the September labels this month, and cut them small to add to the sides of my photos.

EllesStudio_TitleBuilderVol3_Collection_01.jpg

I fell so in love with the Pool Party wood veneer that I created an entire pocket page spread to use it. The July kit and extras were the perfect supplies to record this fun, summer day!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_PoolPartyPockets_01.jpg

I just had to add some color to that beautiful wood veneer piece, and I balanced it out with several different pockets of color throughout the spread, like with this fun “splash goals” title, which I created using all of my ES puffy alphabet stickers and the new Title Builder Vol. 3 stamp! I just love how it turned out— especially with that little splash!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_PoolPartyPockets_06.jpg

Zoo Crew with the Elle's Studio January Products

Yesterday I shared the newest kit release* from Elle’s Studio, along with an 8-1/2” x 11” layout, and today I’m switching gears to share an event-based, 7” x 12” pocket page layout, all about a colorful trip to the Houston Zoo with our besties. The colors of the kiddo’s bright coats on this cold day were perfect for using alongside this kit—no black and white photos needed here!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_ZooCrew_01.jpg

On the front of the page, I created a title using the outline and solid Jane Alphabet Stamps—the largest that Elle has ever released. I love that they coordinate with the “XO” tag in the January kit, found at the base of my page. These are definitely my new favorite alphabet stamps and I love that they are large enough to use on layouts, but still great for pockets, too! The black and white polka dot puffy alphas were great for finishing off my title against the larger alphas.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_ZooCrew_04.jpg
EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_ZooCrew_05.jpg

This tag was created using the Love You printables—the tag was originally 3” x 4” and I stretched it to 4” x 4”. I love that you can make anything work with digital files! I simply added the “today was good” Happiness Found sticker, an acetate heart die cut and a wood veneer heart to embellish my main journaling tag.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_ZooCrew_02.jpg

I kept the same colorful hues on the back of the layout, matching the tags to the coordinating photos by the most bold color in the photo. Not much more journaling was required, so I keep to mainly pretty filler tags.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_ZooCrew_03.jpg

My favorite pocket on the back was created with the heart 4” x 6” tag from the January kit. From there I added “wild girls” using the black and white polka dot puffy alphas and “you are the best” with the Happy Heart stamp. Since three girlies enjoyed this day, I added three hearts: a die-cut circle heart from the January kit, a red acetate heart die cut and a solid wood veneer heart.

I love this spread, and the day that it records! Be sure to grab these supplies while they last in the Elle’s Studio shop, via the links in the gallery below. Thanks so much for reading, and happy creating!

Elle's Studio September 2018 Kit: A Day at the Ballpark Pocket Page + Process Video

Hello! I'm so excited to have the new September 2018 kit and extras from Elle's Studio on my desk this month, and when I saw the new Go Team journaling tags, stamp and wood veneer, that released as extras with the kit, I knew that I needed to document my family's yearly trip to a Cincinnati Reds baseball game, and I did that with a new pocket page:

This Design J pocket page is one of my favorites, and I had documented a fun day visiting the U.S.S. Midway with it before—it's one of my favorite pocket pages that I've created this year. I decided to not re-invent the wheel, so I used the exact same photo/tag layout that I used for that page on this one. It helped me to complete this page faster, and know exactly where I would place my photos and journaling tags.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_DayattheBallpark_06.jpg

The highlight of this page for me is the title tag with the cutest baseball bat wood veneer piece, and the photo of my daughter with the female mascot, Rosie, next to it.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_DayattheBallpark_09.jpg

I could not resist stamping a border of those cute baseballs from the Go Team stamp with water-based markers so that the stitching could be red! It's all in the details, right?

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_DayattheBallpark_04.jpg

Another fun detail that I added was the red bakers twine knots on this "we won" wood veneer piece from the Go Team wood veneer. It only took an extra minute, and I love the way it looks at the top of my photo.

You can see how all of these elements came together in my quick process video! In it, I'll show you how to create that baseball border, how I messed up while stamping my title tag (real life!), and how I put just the right amount of embellishment around my pages.

Thanks so much for watching and stopping by my blog today! I hope you're as excited about the new September release from Elle's Studio as much as I am! Be sure to grab up these goodies before they're gone—the August kit sold out weeks ago, so don't delay! You can also see all of the product that I used to create this pocket page in the shoppable gallery below. Happy creating!

Elle's Studio August 2018 Kit Reveal + New Pocket Page Layout!

Hello there! I'm SO over-the-moon excited about this month's Elle's Studio August 2018 kit and extras* release! There are some surprises in store for you, my friends! Check out my unboxing video to see all of the new goodies:

This month comes with a fabulous, completely new color scheme for ES, and I couldn't love it more. The addition of coral, one of my favorite colors, just has me excited to create! Check out the August 2018 kit, that has an introductory price of $9.99 today only:

AH! I so love this color scheme, and especially the tags that come in the kit that feature the entire color way of the kit! Now how about some coordinating extras? Let's take a look at them:

EllesStudio_August2018_AddOns.jpg

From left to right, we have: Go Team wood veneer flags, Back to School acrylic, ABC wood veneer, August label stickers, Good Job stamp, purple puffy alphabet stickers, Celebrate stamp, Celebrate journaling tags, little photo flag stickers, Love This acrylic, Happy Moments wood veneer circles

This month, I was inspired by the beautiful color scheme and the "learning" tags, that I decided to start a few pocket pages to document my daughter's year in Pre-K. After going back through her entire school year in photos, I pulled out a few that really stuck out to me, and told the story of her year at school:

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_PreK3_01.jpg

The "1,2,3,4,5" tag in the August 2018 kit was one of my favorites! I wanted to highlight the "3", since my daughter was in the 3rd Pre-K classroom, so I cut it out with an exact-o knife, then adhered the entire tag to a blank piece of cardstock before adding the "3" back with dimensional adhesive. Then I simply added a purple August label sticker, and topped it with the purple puffy alphabet stickers.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_PreK3_02.jpg

This "proud moment" die-cut was perfect for the obligatory first day of school photo! I also added some notes below (onto an August print and cut label) about what she chose to wear, and her favorite backpack.

I printed, then cut the multicolored tag from the gorgeous School Days printables to add to the bottom of this photo from my daughter in a soccer lesson. I love how it stands out against the black and white photo, and adds a happy home for the "something to remember" tag from the kit.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_PreK3_03.jpg

On the backside, I continued the colorful colors of the August kit, and adding some fun stamping and embellishment, too!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_PreK3_Side2_01.jpg

That graphic flower tag was another favorite from the kit this month, and I had to top it with Noteworthy puffy stickers, epoxy stickers and a puffy heart! Next to it, on the pencil 3" x 4" tag, I added the "so awesome" phrase, "good job" circle and tiny stars from the Good Job stamp. It just added to the whimsical feel of this page.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_PreK3_Side2_02.jpg

Gah! There's another one of those multi-colored tags! I just LOVE them this month! This one may seem like it would be a vertical tag, but I used it horizontally, adding my typed journaling to the white space, then topping with the "totally awesome" Happy Moments wood veneer circle. I love the way this looks alongside those colorful photos!

Let's just have a little talk about how cute these Go Team wood veneer flags are. It almost hurts me to put them to use, they're that cute. But, this photo of my daughter with her soccer "team" just called for it.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_PreK3_Side2_07.jpg

So, this project will continue, most likely with one more pocket page spread, as well as a pocket page of artwork created by Lizzy only, similar to how I documented her Preschool year! I'll be sure to share once the entire year has been completed. Stay tuned!

Until then, be sure to check out all of the product that I used to create this pocket page spread in the Elle's Studio shop, via the gallery below. Remember that the kit price increases to $11.99 after today, so get it at a discount! Thanks for stopping by, and happy creating!

U.S.S. Midway Layout + Pocket Page with Process Video

The April kit and extras* from Elle's Studio are so fabulous, I've created another project to share with you today, and this is my favorite type of project—a layout and pocket page combination! I created this project about a wonderful day that we spent on the U.S.S. Midway in San Diego, California.

I loved creating this custom embellishment with the April 2018 cut filesCurrently stamp and Adventure puffy stickers

The new Mini Dated stamp was perfect for adding the date to this die-cut from the April 2018 kit.

While creating, I filmed a video so that you could see my process! Grab a cuppa and have a look:

I also added to the pockets on the back side of this spread, and continued the star theme:

Elle's Studio February 2018 Kit Reveal: January Pockets

The Elle's Studio kit and add-ons released today, and I am excited to share a double pocket-page spread that I created using these new products, along with a few of my favorites from the shop. I love these blank tags, designed to fit the graphic icons found in the kit and the Icon stamp. I also added the stamped "in one word" box from the All the Details stamp

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_JanuaryPockets_04.jpg

On the right side, I started off with a simple 4" x 6" tag featuring the wood veneer ampersands and the word "life" from the Title Builder Acrylic. I also used another wood veneer snowflake on this side, to balance the left and celebrate a snow day here in Texas.

I used the Icon Printables, recoloring this striped tag, as well as the hearts tag to match my blue, teal and yellow color scheme. I stamped the balloons from the Happy Birthday Stamp onto one of the bold, striped tags from the kit, fussy cutting them out. I also created a patterned balloon with the Icon stamp.

Great news! I created a process video while putting this spread together! Check out this short video to see how I focused on keeping my page balanced, and used the "less is more" theory to keep it fairly simple.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to check out the February 2018 kit and add-ons while supplies last!

SCT Summer Edition: Pocket Play

I was so excited to be featured twice in Scrapbook and Cards Today's summer issue, and I loved being a contributing writer for the Pocket Play column. It it, I described how I finally found a way to make pocket page scrapbooking work for me, and I shared a new favorite layout with a favorite color scheme for me: yellow and red with a touch of teal. You can find this color scheme often in my albums. (*All product links below are affiliate links. You don't pay any extra, but I get a small percentage of your sale! Thanks for your continued support!)

My title pocket was created with the fun, colorful tag from the Happy Birthday Journaling Tags. I started the quote out with the word "memories" from the Live Laugh Love Puffy Stickers and searched online for a quote about memories, finding this one from Rosa Parks. I loved it, and typed it in Photoshop before printing it on the tag. A few more puffy stickers and an Acrylic Birthday Confetti piece finished off the pocket, which introduced the page.

This page documented a surprise trip to my mom and dad's for my father's 60th birthday. I had to create a tag that documented that, and the balloon Happy Birthday Stickers and Dad acrylic and word set helped me add a bit of embellishment to the Happy Birthday Journaling Tags. This may be one of my favorite ever embellished tags in my album, although my sewing machine was acting up that day when I sewed the balloon strings!

Summer to me means baseball games. I love going to them with my family, and our hometown stadium is so fun to visit. I used the "like it/love it" tag from the April 2017 Kit as a base for my pocket, typing my journaling and adding a cut tag from the Live Laugh Love Bits and Pieces and a piece of printed Live Laugh Love washi tape stickers

Documenting My Love for The Gilmore Girls

Gilmore_Closeup2_Blog.jpg

When I found out that The Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life was coming out in the fall, I was SO excited, as were most 30-somethings all over the country. But when it was released, the day after Thanksgiving, we were just about to embark on a trip to Hawaii and Disneyland, so I waited. I waited through December, until my husband left for work, and waited again until New Year's Eve, when my daughter was having her tonsillectomy. All of that waiting was completely worth it, and because the event was part of my New Year's celebration, I decided to document it in a pocket page. I even included a photo of The Dragonfly Inn on my TV screen with my twinkle lights on the mantel and a fire in the fireplace. Ah... cozy!

I took my color scheme from the official A Year in the Life image with the beautiful sky blue background, as well as the photo of Lorelai and Rory grabbing a coffee and the morning paper in Star's Hollow. Mixing the beautiful light blue, with navy and pink felt just perfect for this spread.

Gilmore_Closeup1_Blog.jpg

Back in March, when I attended Scrapbook & Cards Today's Crop and Create Toronto, one of my kind, fellow croppers gave me this Lux Girl stamped image by Angie Bloom and Unity Stamp Company. It reminded me so much of Lorelai, and I knew it would be perfect to use when I was ready to create this spread. I held onto it for three months & coloring it in with watercolor pencils and a water pen was so relaxing. I backed it onto a piece of striped patterned paper from an old Scraptastic Club kit, and cut it in half, so that it would fit across two 3" x 4" pockets. Since she was looking down, I wanted to put a bit of embellishment under her feet, so I added label and heart die cuts, as well as a wood veneer heart.

This 3" x 4" tag that I used on the back side of the page is from the Elle's Studio May 2017 Kit. I knew what words I wanted to add right away, and I used the Elle's Studio Sky Blue Puffy Alphabet Stickers, and another lighter blue set that I had laying around from an old Studio Calico kit. To finish off the tag, I added the wood veneer coffee cup from Colorcast Designs

Alongside the Colorcast Designs veneer and acrylic pieces, I also used the Elle's Studio TV Wood VeneerJournaling Tags and Stamp. We don't watch much television around here, but I think documenting what little we do watch is important! Since we just started House of Cards on Netflix, you can expect to see another spread using these supplies to document that series later in the year!

What shows do you watch? Have you documented them yet?

December Project Life Spreads

I'm about six months behind with my Project Life spreads from 2016, but I'm trying not to let that stop me from finishing up this project. I wanted to start with the 'elephant in the room,' my December spreads. It's definitely the month that I've taken the most photos, so there was a lot to document. Plus, I decided early on not to take on a December Daily album project this year, so these pages are all that I'm documenting for the month.

I started off with my first page setting the tone for the entire month. I typically try to choose a multicolored card that can set my color scheme, and I did that with the multicolored starburst card in the second row. From there, I chose other tags to coordinate with that one to fill the remainder of my pages. The bright color scheme worked perfectly for the things that we did this month, including a trip to Hawaii and Disneyland.

I kept my embellishment quite simple, but used a lot of stamps to create and add to my filler tags.  I love the Magic Journaling Cards no. 1 from In a Creative Bubble, and I was excited to use that 4" x 6" castle tag, embellished with just a few rhinestones.

Page four was all about the week leading up to Christmas, which I spent with my family, so I had lots of journaling to add. On the right side, I put my Christmas present tags in the pockets. My parents loved them, and took some of them home, so these were the leftovers.

My final page was all about the week after Christmas and my daughter's surgery. You might just see a little sneak peek on this page of fun things to come from Elle's Studio. Stay tuned!

I can't wait to wrap up 2016 in it's album. I guess I had better get to work documenting and filling those pockets!

Elle's Studio August Exclusive Kit Reveal!

I'm so excited to tell you that the Elle's Studio August exclusive kit and add-ons are now available in the Elle's Studio shop! August is typically one of my favorite kits of the year, and this one definitely did not disappoint!

The kit is full of great colors and awesome sayings. Also, the die-cuts are now being packaged on 4" x 6" sheets, ready to be easily punched out, and I created a short video to show you how easy they are to remove from their sheets, which make them so much easier to see all together in one place.

Don't forget the digital printables and cut files that coordinate with the kit!

I started my projects out this month with a double pocket page spread! It's been a LONG time since I created one of these, and I just added a few stamps and items from the Sunny Days collection. There is so much packed in the kit that I had plenty of tags left to create a layout and still have leftover supplies!

I just had to use the Read stamp to include these colorful little stamped books on the "sunshine and ___" tag!

For my second project, I went back to my roots and created a 12" x 12" layout! The "long hot summer days" tag was my muse for this layout, and I printed out photos from an impromptu splash pad encounter this summer.

These are definitely some of my favorite photos from the summer, and this kit was perfect to document them!

Be sure to stop by the Elle's Studio shop to check out all of the new items this month, and be sure to check out the sale items in the shop this month!

Documenting May

No matter how many traditional layouts I create, I still LOVE my monthly pocket page spreads. They allow me to get so many more photographs in my album which I don't have time to create layouts for, and document a huge portion of our daily lives as a family.

For the month of May, I got to work on my Project Life spreads, using the May 2016 This Life Noted kit and add-on from Scraptastic Club.

I started off with a double page spread, using a red, pink and yellow color scheme. The majority of my journaling was done with the Collect App. I kept my pockets fairly simple, using die-cuts from the kits, and filling a lot of spaces in with the This Life Noted stamp, included in the kit.

This month included Mother's Day, so of course I had to include the "cool mom" card in my spread!

Spread two for the month has a blue, teal and yellow color scheme. Using yellow on both spreads ties them together, even though they have very different color schemes.

There were so many fun embellishments included in the kits this month! I especially loved the Project Life Currently Ephemera included in the add-on. The little cameras were perfect for adding a little something to my cards.

To add a bit of a title to my spread, I used the Fancy Free Thickers from the Cake by the Ocean kit (sold out) on my 4" x 6" card.

Page 5 again uses yellow, but with just teal this time. I used very simple embellishments on this page, but I love how it all turned out. I will use the same color scheme for the beginning of June, which will go to the right of this page.

Thanks for stopping by! How are you doing with your pocket page album? So far, I've been able to keep up, with help from the Collect App and my Scraptastic Kits!

Scraptastic January Projects

Last month I received the Scraptastic Kit Club's 'This Must Be the Place' kit and add-on, as well as the This Life Noted kit (sold out). I love what I created with the kits & I want to share them with you today.

'The Story of Us' was created as my Project Life 2014 title page. All of the details about this layout can be found at the post below.

Batada blog.jpg

'Ba-Ta-Da' was created using the January sketchy Thursday challenge and records my daughter's love of butterflies, which she calls, 'ba-ta-das.'

I shared all of the information about this month's This Life Noted spreads on the Scraptastic blog, as well as a peek into my process for creating monthly Project Life spreads. If you're interested in using the Collect App for documenting, or are looking to switch from weekly to monthly layouts, check out this TLN Friday post

Finally, I made a few cards with pieces from the kits, and the awesome Sentiments Series Volume 4 stamp set, which I loved since it has SO many different phrases included! On this card, I stamped 'hello' repeatedly on the heart, as well as 'thinking of you' on the teal tag.

This card uses the 'Whoa!' This Life Noted 3"x4" card for part of the sentiment, but I also stamped 'Congratulations' and 'You Did It!' on the blank tag included in the kit. I used the gold vellum leaves die-cut to mimic the tail of a shooting star, which I created with the starburst sticker, a stamped star circle and a few sequins.

Some of the pieces from the kit were just too perfect for me not to get a jump on my Valentine's Day cards. For this one, I used the banners from the Teresa Collins die-cut pack, the exclusive wood veneer from Scraptastic, a Maggie Holmes vellum heart and 'I Treasure You' sentiment, and the Jillibean Soup cork 'love' sticker.

The February kits from Scraptastic are now live and I am so excited to create with the 'It Takes Two' kit and add-on this month.

Be sure to check out all of the Scraptastic Kit Club's beautiful kits and stamp sets before they're gone!
