Beads of Friendship Cards

Hey there, friends, and happy Monday! Today I am starting off the week by sharing what I created with the gorgeous new Beads of Friendship collection from Spellbinders!

Not a jewler? This gorgeous Beads of Friendship collection allows you to create paper bracelets by combining diferent paper beads by stamping, die cutting, and foiling. I created three very different cards using these products, all for the women in my life.

My first card pays homage to my favorite entertainer, Beyonce, and of course, I had to make it a girl power card. On the wrist of the Bestie Heart in Hand die cut, I created four bracelet strands in red, white, and blue to spell out ‘Who Run the World’ in gold foil using the Bestie Alphabet Beads press plate and die set. If you don’t know, it’s GIRLS!

The background was created with the fabulous Sparkle Background Glimmer hot foil plate from the Shine Bright collection. I love how well these two collections pair together! I also added the ‘be fearless’ sentiment from the Bestie Sentiments press plate and die set. I look forward to giving this card to my daughter!

My next card takes a softer approach. I used the layered Heart Hands etched dies to create the hands and added colorful beaded bracelets. The background was embossed with the Garden Path embossing folder—which is on sale at an amazing price, $4.20! This pretty folder gave the card the softness that it needed, and I blended the edges lightly with pink ink before adding it to a Pink Sand cardstock frame. The ‘You’ll Always Have Me’ sentiment, from the Bestie Sentiments press plate and die set, went right in the middle of the heart—the perfect sentiment to finish off this card.

My final card started with a soft rainbow blended background which I embossed with the Dazzling Dots embossing folder. I then made three colorful bracelet strands using the Bestie Beaded Bracelets etched dies. I wanted to add the gold letter beads, and luckily I had plenty left over from my first card, so I spelled out ‘BFF 4EVER’. In between the strands, I added the sentiment ‘You are my closest friend,’ using the Bestie Sentiments press plate and die set.

I loved creating these cards using the Beads of Friendship collection from Spellbinders, and really LOVED making bracelets using paper instead of beads!
